About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Technical Writer to join our growing team and elevate our developer experience. You will play a crucial role in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for our APIs, internal processes, and external-facing collateral.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and enhance our API reference documentation, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
• Develop internal and external documentation, including user guides, tutorials, and process documentation.
• Build and manage a comprehensive developer resource center with instructional content and best practices.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to create compelling external-facing documentation and collateral.
• Stay abreast of new product releases and features, incorporating them into existing and new documentation.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of proven experience in technical writing, with a focus on API documentation.
• Experience managing and maintaining a documentation platform.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and experience writing API documentation.
• Ability to create developer-friendly training materials and resource centers.
• Familiarity with OpenAPI specifications and programming languages (Python, Go, JavaScript).

Nice to Have:

• Experience in the lending or financial services industry.
• Familiarity with Redoc, Github, and Markdown.

Compensation: $110,000 - $125,000 per year

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience in technical writing, specifically in documenting APIs and developing developer-focused resources.
• Demonstrated experience managing and maintaining a documentation platform.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and experience writing clear, concise, and accurate API documentation.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Go, and JavaScript.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Preferred:

• Experience in the lending or financial services industry.
• Familiarity with tools such as Redoc, Github, and Markdown.

Key Responsibilities:

Documentation Development & Maintenance:

• Author, edit, and maintain comprehensive API reference documentation, ensuring accuracy and clarity for developers.
• Create internal and external documentation for various Peach products and services, including user guides, tutorials, and FAQs.
• Develop and manage a centralized developer resource center, providing instructional content, process documentation, and troubleshooting guides.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and marketing teams to ensure documentation accurately reflects product features and functionalities.
• Work with Marketing to develop external-facing collateral, such as white papers, blog posts, and presentations, that effectively communicate Peach's value proposition.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify information, and ensure documentation meets their needs.

Peach Finance - Senior Technical Writer Selection Process

Application Review:

Peach Finance will review applications based on the required skills and experience outlined in the job description.

Phone Screening:

Shortlisted candidates will participate in a phone screening with a member of the HR team to discuss their qualifications and interest in the role.

Technical Assessment:

Candidates who successfully complete the phone screening will be invited to complete a technical assessment focused on API documentation and developer resource center creation.

Interview Rounds:

Top candidates will participate in two rounds of interviews:

• First Round: A behavioral interview with a member of the Peach Finance team to assess communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Second Round: A technical interview with the engineering team to delve deeper into technical writing experience and understanding of relevant technologies.

Final Decision:

Peach Finance will make a final decision based on the candidate's performance throughout the selection process, aligning with the company's culture and values.
