Your Role:

As a Product Designer at The Block, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience for our web and mobile platforms. You will be responsible for designing intuitive and engaging interfaces that align with our brand identity and deliver value to our users.

Responsibilities:

• Design user-centered interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Lead design reviews, collaborate with stakeholders, and manage the end-to-end design process for new features.
• Maintain and evolve our design system in Figma, ensuring consistency and scalability.
• Conduct user research and testing to validate design decisions and iterate on solutions.
• Advocate for user needs and balance them with business goals to deliver impactful products.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of professional experience in product design.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating your design process and contributions to shipped projects.
• Proficiency in Figma and a deep understanding of design systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English (written and verbal).

Qualifications

Required:

• Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in product design, demonstrated through a strong portfolio showcasing contributions to shipped projects.
• Design Skills: Proficiency in designing intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Figma Expertise: Strong understanding of Figma and experience working with and maintaining design systems within the platform.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders and developers.

Preferred:

• Experience working in the cryptocurrency or blockchain industry.
• Familiarity with user research and testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of front-end development principles.

Design & Development

• Conceptualize and design user interfaces for The Block's web and mobile platforms, ensuring a consistent and intuitive user experience.
• Lead design critiques, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage the complete design lifecycle for assigned features.
• Maintain and enhance The Block's design system within Figma, incorporating user feedback and best practices.

User Research & Collaboration

• Conduct user research and testing to inform design decisions and validate user needs.
• Partner closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs and maintain design integrity throughout the development process.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles and effectively communicate design rationale to stakeholders.
