What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with the product manager to review project specifications and translate them into actionable development plans.
- Prepare detailed integration plans, break-downs, and estimations for assigned tasks.
- Implement robust and scalable back-end code using Ruby on Rails.
- Work closely with the engineering team, product team, and co-founder/CTO to ensure seamless project execution.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of experience as a back-end or full-stack software engineer.
- Recent and demonstrable experience with Ruby on Rails.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to balance software craftsmanship with efficient development velocity.
- Experience working in agile methodologies.

Qualifications
Required:
- Proven Expertise: Minimum 5 years of experience as a back-end or full-stack software engineer with a demonstrable history of successfully delivering complex projects.
- Ruby on Rails Proficiency: Recent and hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails, including familiarity with its core concepts, frameworks, and best practices.
- Agile Mindset: Experience working in agile development environments, comfortable with iterative development cycles and collaborative workflows.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and fellow engineers.
- Problem-Solving & Ownership: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges. Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.
Bonus:
- Experience with AI/ML integration within software applications.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Contributions to open-source projects.
Technical Development
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable back-end systems using Ruby on Rails.
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code adhering to best practices.
- Collaborate with the team to implement new features and improve existing functionalities.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality.
Project Collaboration
- Work closely with product managers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation and user stories.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure project progress and alignment.
- Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
