Sr. Manager, Site Reliability & DevOps

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Manager to lead our Site Reliability & DevOps team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and availability of Endpoint's systems. You will lead, manage, and coach a team of talented engineers, driving initiatives to improve monitoring, logging, and visibility across our environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and coach Site Reliability, DBA, and Cloud Engineering teams.
  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure (Azure), database code, and deployment pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across departments and disciplines.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance monitoring, logging, and observability across Endpoint's environments.
  • Participate in product and feature design reviews, ensuring scalable and reliable solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Reliability.
  • Proven experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure), database code, and deployment pipelines.
  • Strong technical and interpersonal skills, with excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, PowerShell) and structured languages (e.g., C#, Java).

Compensation

$120,000 - $140,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Systems Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.

Technical Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure) and database technologies.
  • Proficiency in developing and managing deployment pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, PowerShell) and structured programming languages (e.g., C#, Java).
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Site Reliability, DBA, and Cloud Engineering teams.
  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure, database code, and deployment pipelines to ensure the quality, reliability, and availability of Endpoint's systems.
  • Proactively identify and resolve complex technical issues across departments and disciplines.

Operational Excellence

  • Develop and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to enhance visibility into Endpoint's environments.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize system performance, scalability, and resilience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth system operations and incident response.

Strategic Alignment

  • Participate in product and feature design reviews to ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in Site Reliability Engineering and DevOps.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the overall Site Reliability and DevOps strategy.

Selection Process
