Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Associate Data Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in building and maintaining our data pipelines, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our data products.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines to process and export vast amounts of record data.
• Implement logic to calculate and export risk information based on complex data relationships.
• Improve entity resolution processes to enhance data accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with product and development teams to gather requirements and refine data specifications.
• Run and maintain regular data releases, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality data products.

Qualifications:

• 0-2+ years of experience designing, maintaining, and orchestrating ETL pipelines in cloud-based environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Expertise in Python or a JVM programming language (Java, Scala).
• Strong SQL skills (e.g., Postgres).
• Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with entity resolution, graph theory, and/or distributed computing.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Target base salary: $85,000 - $95,000 USD per year.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of experience designing, maintaining, and orchestrating ETL pipelines in cloud-based environments (e.g., GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Strong expertise in Python or a JVM programming language (e.g., Java, Scala).
• Proven ability to write efficient and maintainable SQL queries against relational databases (e.g., Postgres).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with entity resolution, graph theory, and/or distributed computing.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes.
• Experience working as part of an agile development team using Scrum, Kanban, or similar methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain efficient ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to process and export raw data from various sources.
• Entity Resolution: Develop and refine algorithms and processes to accurately identify and link related entities within the data.
• Risk Calculation & Export: Implement logic to calculate and export relevant risk information based on processed data, adhering to defined methodologies.
• Requirement Gathering & Collaboration: Work closely with product and development teams to understand data requirements, refine specifications, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Data Release Management: Execute and maintain regular data releases, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and timely delivery to stakeholders.
• Documentation & Support: Contribute to the documentation of data pipelines, processes, and methodologies, providing support to internal teams and stakeholders.
