Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs Lead to champion Injective's interests in the evolving regulatory landscape. You will be the voice of Injective in government and regulatory settings, educating policymakers on decentralized finance (DeFi) and our innovative infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive regulatory strategy that fosters innovation while ensuring strict compliance.
• Represent Injective before government agencies, state regulators, and industry stakeholders, building strong relationships and advocating for favorable policies.
• Lead Injective's engagement in shaping public policy discussions, developing informed positions on key digital assets and DeFi regulatory proposals.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to align advocacy efforts with business priorities and product goals.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of proven experience in government relations, regulatory strategy, or public policy.
• Deep understanding of U.S. laws, regulations, and the dynamic landscape of crypto policy.
• Comprehensive knowledge of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and their regulatory implications.
• Exceptional analytical, research, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Required:

• Experience: Minimum 7 years of proven experience in government relations, regulatory strategy, or public policy, preferably within the financial technology or blockchain industry.
• Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of U.S. laws, regulations, and the evolving landscape of cryptocurrency policy.
• Technical Proficiency: Solid grasp of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and their regulatory implications.
• Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with policymakers, regulators, and internal stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and research capabilities, with a proven track record of identifying and analyzing complex regulatory issues.

Preferred:

• Experience working with government agencies and regulatory bodies on blockchain and cryptocurrency-related matters.
• Familiarity with international regulatory frameworks governing digital assets.
• A strong network of contacts within the government, regulatory, and blockchain communities.

Key Responsibilities:

Government Relations & Advocacy:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for government agencies, regulators, and policymakers on matters related to Injective and the broader DeFi ecosystem.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive government relations strategy to advance Injective's policy objectives and foster a favorable regulatory environment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the government, including legislators, regulators, and their staff.
• Represent Injective at industry events, conferences, and public forums, effectively communicating the value proposition of decentralized finance.

Regulatory Compliance & Strategy:

• Stay abreast of evolving regulatory landscapes and emerging policy proposals impacting the DeFi industry.
• Analyze and interpret regulatory developments, assessing their potential impact on Injective's operations and business strategy.
• Develop and implement compliance programs to ensure Injective adheres to all applicable laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with legal and product teams to ensure regulatory compliance is integrated into Injective's product development lifecycle.
