Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated WordPress Plugins & Themes Developer with a focus on DevOps practices to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our core theme, creating API-driven integrations, building new plugin features, and collaborating with our support and product teams to ensure seamless functionality and user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the Melapress.com theme.
• Create API-driven integrations with third-party services and plugins.
• Build and refine new features for existing Melapress plugins.
• Collaborate with support and product teams to troubleshoot and resolve bugs.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all projects.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of hands-on WordPress development experience.
• Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript (ES6+), CSS/Sass, and MySQL.
• Familiarity with WordPress hooks, actions & filters, REST API, and block editor basics.
• Experience with Git, command-line workflows, and local/staging environments.
• Basic understanding of DevOps concepts (CI pipelines, Composer, WP-CLI, caching).
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled WordPress Developer with a DevOps mindset to join our growing team.

Minimum Requirements:

• 1-2 years of hands-on experience developing WordPress themes and plugins.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript (ES6+), CSS/Sass, and MySQL.
• Familiarity with WordPress hooks, actions & filters, REST API, and block editor basics.
• Experience using Git for version control and comfortable working with command-line workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Theme Development & Maintenance: Design, develop, and maintain the Melapress.com website theme, ensuring a consistent brand experience and optimal user interface.
• Plugin Development: Contribute to the development and refinement of new features for Melapress's suite of WordPress plugins, focusing on security, user management, and administration functionalities.
• API Integration: Build and integrate APIs to connect Melapress plugins and services, enabling seamless data exchange and functionality expansion.
• Bug Fixing & Troubleshooting: Collaborate with the support and product teams to identify, diagnose, and resolve bugs and technical issues within plugins and themes.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed plugins and themes, ensuring clarity and ease of use for users and developers.
• DevOps Practices: Implement and maintain DevOps best practices, including utilizing CI/CD pipelines, Composer, WP-CLI, and caching strategies to streamline development and deployment processes.

Melapress WordPress Plugins & Themes Developer Selection Process

1. Application Review: Candidates will be screened based on their resume and cover letter, focusing on relevant WordPress experience, technical skills, and DevOps understanding.
