Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Senior DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining our robust cloud infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of our platform and services.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support and development for cloud infrastructure across GCP, AWS, and Hetzner.
• Expand and maintain Kubernetes and Nomad container orchestration infrastructure.
• Implement and manage robust monitoring and observability solutions.
• Set up and maintain highly available databases, including PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Redis.
• Enhance security measures and collaborate with stakeholders on infrastructure budgeting.
• Achieve near-perfect system uptime through proactive maintenance and effective incident response.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Nomad), database management (PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Redis), monitoring tools (Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Kibana), and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS).
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Compensation:

$70,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or a similar role.
• Proven experience managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure in GCP and AWS.
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and Nomad.
• Demonstrated expertise in database management, including PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Redis.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Kibana.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash.
• Experience implementing and maintaining security measures in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure across GCP, AWS, and Hetzner platforms.
• Container Orchestration: Expand and manage Kubernetes and Nomad container orchestration environments, ensuring efficient resource utilization and application deployment.
• Monitoring and Observability: Establish and refine robust monitoring and observability solutions using tools like Prometheus, Elasticsearch, and Kibana to ensure system health and performance.
• Database Administration: Set up, configure, and maintain highly available databases, including PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and Redis, optimizing for performance and scalability.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices across the infrastructure, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Automation and Optimization: Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline infrastructure management tasks and optimize resource allocation.
• Incident Response: Lead and participate in incident response efforts, effectively diagnosing and resolving issues to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
