Responsibilities

As a Full Stack Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining our web applications. You'll be responsible for:

• Designing, building, and maintaining both frontend and backend systems using React, TypeScript, Next.js, and MySQL.
• Taking ownership of features from initial UI/UX implementation to database design.
• Collaborating effectively with product, design, and engineering teams.
• Contributing to architectural decisions and mentoring junior developers.
• Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks across the application stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with React and TypeScript.
• Strong proficiency with Next.js (SSR/SSG, API routes, routing).
• Expertise in MySQL, including complex queries and performance optimization.
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and Git.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience developing web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Proven expertise in Next.js, including Server-Side Rendering (SSR), Static Site Generation (SSG), API routes, and routing.
• Strong understanding of database design and optimization, with proficiency in MySQL and experience writing complex queries.
• Solid foundation in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and Git.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• A passion for building high-quality, user-friendly applications.

Bonus points for:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and methodologies.
• Contributions to open-source projects.

Development

• Design, develop, and implement new features across the MemberUp platform, encompassing both frontend and backend functionalities.
• Translate user stories and design specifications into functional code, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code, contributing to the overall maintainability and scalability of the application.
• Collaborate with the product and design teams to refine user experiences and ensure seamless integration of new features.

Database & Infrastructure

• Design and maintain efficient database schemas, optimizing data storage and retrieval for optimal performance.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries to retrieve, manipulate, and analyze data.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks within the database and application stack, ensuring smooth user experience.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development infrastructure, advocating for best practices and automation.

Teamwork & Communication

• Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior developers, sharing knowledge and experience to enhance their technical skills and growth.
• Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and alignment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that meet user needs and business objectives.
