Smart Contract Engineer - Aragon

We are seeking a talented and experienced Smart Contract Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a crucial role in designing and building custom integrations for clients on top of the Aragon OSx protocol, ensuring secure and high-quality delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop innovative smart contract solutions for Aragon clients.
  • Lead projects from conception to deployment, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to the advancement of web3 technologies through research and development.
  • Actively participate in daily stand-ups and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of software development experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Expert-level Solidity expertise, including designing and optimizing complex smart contract systems.
  • Deep understanding of smart contract security best practices and common vulnerabilities.
  • Proficiency in Foundry, Hardhat, TypeScript, Ethers, and Viem.
  • Experience working across multiple EVM networks and contributing to open-source projects within the blockchain and web3 ecosystem.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Proven Track Record: 3+ years of software development experience in a fast-paced startup environment, demonstrating a commitment to delivering high-quality, secure solutions.
  • Solidity Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in Solidity, including experience designing, developing, and optimizing complex smart contract systems.
  • Security-First Mindset: Deep understanding of smart contract security best practices and a proven ability to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Foundry, Hardhat, TypeScript, Ethers, and Viem. Experience interacting with multiple EVM networks is essential.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and contribute to open-source projects within the blockchain and web3 ecosystem.

Technical Development

  • Develop and implement smart contracts using Solidity, adhering to best practices for security and efficiency.
  • Design and build custom integrations for clients, leveraging the Aragon OSx protocol.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the Aragon OSx protocol.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of smart contracts to ensure reliability and robustness.

Project Management

  • Lead smart contract development projects from conception to deployment, managing timelines and resources effectively.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define project scope and requirements.
  • Communicate project progress and potential roadblocks to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Teamwork & Knowledge Sharing

  • Participate actively in team meetings and code reviews, contributing to a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in blockchain technology and smart contract development.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the Aragon engineering team.
