Observability Engineer - CI&T, Colombia

Your Role:
As an Observability Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of our production systems. You will leverage your expertise in monitoring tools and SRE practices to proactively identify and resolve issues, collaborate with development teams, and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze production system performance using industry-leading tools like AppDynamics, New Relic, DataDog, or Dynatrace.
- Investigate production issues, pinpoint root causes, and collaborate with application teams to implement effective solutions.
- Partner with development teams to enhance service reliability and performance through proactive monitoring and incident prevention.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues utilizing SRE best practices and a DevOps mindset.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with performance monitoring tools (AppDynamics, New Relic, DataDog, or Dynatrace).
- Solid understanding of software development principles, architecture, and system integration.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and/or Golang.
- Hands-on experience with SRE practices, DevOps culture, and production issue resolution.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

This role is open to both experienced Observability Engineers and Mid-Level Developers seeking a transition into the SRE field.
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in software development or a related field with a focus on performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Technical Skills: Proven experience with at least one performance monitoring tool (AppDynamics, New Relic, DataDog, or Dynatrace). Solid understanding of software architecture and system integration. Familiarity with programming languages like Java and/or Golang.
- SRE & DevOps: Demonstrated understanding of SRE practices and DevOps culture. Experience troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Technical Responsibilities
- Utilize monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, New Relic, DataDog, or Dynatrace to analyze production system performance and identify potential issues.
- Conduct in-depth investigations into production incidents, pinpoint root causes, and collaborate with application development teams to implement solutions.
- Partner with development teams to enhance service reliability and performance through proactive monitoring and optimization strategies.
- Apply SRE practices and DevOps principles to troubleshoot and resolve production issues effectively.
Collaboration & Communication
- Communicate technical insights and findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Actively participate in incident response and post-mortem analysis, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative environment by sharing knowledge and best practices with team members.
Selection Process
