Director, Business Development, FSP - East Coast

Position Summary

The Director of Business Development, FSP, will lead FSP and Standalone sales activities on the East Coast, driving growth and expanding Precision for Medicine's footprint within the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for FSP clients and potential partners, fostering strong relationships and advocating for Precision for Medicine's value proposition.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting key accounts, focusing on FSP and Standalone services.
  • Identify and qualify potential clients across therapeutic indications, conducting introductory and follow-up meetings to build relationships and understand their needs.
  • Secure RFPs and collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling proposals that demonstrate Precision for Medicine's capabilities and value.
  • Strategically leverage the expertise of the Executive Team to effectively address client needs and secure new business opportunities.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the FSP market landscape, competitive offerings, and industry trends.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of success in FSP and/or clinical research sales within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Strong understanding of the FSP model and its application in clinical trials.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Science, Healthcare).
  • 7+ years of proven experience in business development within the clinical research or pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on FSP and Standalone services.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and managing strategic relationships with biotech and pharmaceutical companies.
  • Strong understanding of the FSP model and its application in clinical trials.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.
  • Experience in oncology or rare disease therapeutic areas.
  • Existing network of contacts within the pharmaceutical and biotech industry.
  • Familiarity with clinical trial regulations and guidelines.

Business Development Activities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting FSP and Standalone services within assigned accounts, focusing on biotech and pharmaceutical companies.
  • Identify and qualify potential clients across various therapeutic indications.
  • Conduct initial and follow-up meetings with prospective clients and internal stakeholders, including Regional Vice Presidents of Business Development.
  • Secure Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and collaborate with the Business Operations/Proposal Team to develop compelling proposals.

Relationship Management & Strategic Alliances

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key decision-makers at existing and prospective FSP clients.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for FSP clients, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Identify and pursue strategic alliance opportunities to expand Precision for Medicine's reach and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Team to leverage their expertise in securing new business opportunities.

Selection Process
