About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Product Manager, Data to lead the development and enhancement of our data infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in improving our crypto price feeds, ranking algorithms, and launching innovative data products. Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance data infrastructure powering CoinGecko's platform.
• Improve crypto price feeds and ranking algorithms to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Lead the development and launch of new data products for our vast user base.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing) to drive product impact.
• Contribute to high-level strategic decisions and lead data-driven projects.
• Conduct in-depth data analysis and utilize insights to inform product strategy.
• Influence stakeholders and teammates through compelling data storytelling.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in technology-powered product management.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering data-driven products.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
• Strong understanding of data tools and techniques for product discovery, optimization, and delivery.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Manager, with a proven track record of successfully launching and iterating on data-driven products.
• Deep understanding of data analysis techniques and tools, including SQL, data visualization platforms, and A/B testing methodologies.
• Experience working with APIs and integrating data from multiple sources.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Passion for the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry, with a desire to learn and contribute to its growth.

Preferred:

• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Familiarity with cryptocurrency data providers and market trends.
• Experience leading and mentoring product teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Infrastructure: Design, develop, and maintain the data infrastructure that underpins CoinGecko's platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and accuracy.
• Data Product Development: Lead the ideation, development, and launch of innovative data products that cater to the needs of millions of cryptocurrency users.
• Price Feed & Algorithm Optimization: Continuously improve crypto price feeds and ranking algorithms, ensuring data integrity and delivering valuable insights to users.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, design, marketing, and other teams to execute product roadmaps and drive impactful results.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data analytics and insights to inform product strategy, prioritize features, and measure product performance.
• Strategic Planning: Contribute to high-level strategic decisions regarding data products and initiatives, aligning with CoinGecko's overall vision.

CoinGecko Senior Product Manager Data Selection Process

1. Application Review: Candidates will be screened based on their resume and cover letter, focusing on relevant experience, skills, and alignment with the job description.

2. Phone Screening: Shortlisted candidates will participate in a 30-minute phone interview with a recruiter to assess their communication skills, motivation, and basic understanding of the role.

3. Technical Assessment: Candidates will complete a technical assessment evaluating their product management knowledge, data analysis skills, and problem-solving abilities.

4. Virtual Interviews: Top performers will participate in two virtual interviews:

• Behavioral Interview: Focuses on past experiences, leadership style, and cultural fit.
• Product Case Study: Candidates will analyze a real-world product challenge and present their proposed solution.

5. Final Decision: The hiring team will review all interview feedback and assessment results to select the best candidate.
