About Green Stuff World
Green Stuff World is a thriving, profitable online hobby shop with over 10 years of experience and a team of ~80 passionate individuals. We're experiencing rapid growth and are building a new, 100% remote engineering team to modernize our platform. Our backend is being rebuilt using C# on .NET 9, and we're leveraging TypeScript with the Svelte framework for fast, reliable, and scalable frontend experiences.
About You
We're seeking an experienced, full-time Frontend Software Engineer to join our growing team. You're passionate about designing and building user-facing features from the ground up, possess a strong understanding of modern web technologies, and thrive in a collaborative environment.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience building modern frontend applications with JavaScript, HTML, and Tailwind CSS.
- 1+ year of experience working with Svelte.
- Proven ability to debug, optimize performance, and write clean, maintainable code.
- Strong UI design skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Deep understanding of REST APIs and HTTP requests.
- Experience participating in code reviews and maintaining scalable frontend architectures.
Nice to Have
- Experience with native mobile app development (Kotlin).

Salary
We offer a competitive salary between $30,000 and $40,000 USD annually, depending on experience.
Qualifications
Required:
- 4+ years of experience developing modern frontend applications using JavaScript, HTML, and Tailwind CSS.
- 1+ year of experience working with the Svelte framework.
- Proven ability to debug, optimize performance, and write clean, maintainable code.
- Strong UI design skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Deep understanding of REST APIs and HTTP requests.
- Experience participating in code reviews and maintaining scalable frontend architectures.
Preferred:
- Experience with native mobile app development using Kotlin.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain user-facing features: Design, implement, and test new features and functionalities for our e-commerce platform using Svelte, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.
- Collaborate with the design team: Work closely with designers to translate UI/UX designs into functional and responsive web components.
- Optimize performance and scalability: Ensure the frontend application is performant, responsive, and scalable to handle high traffic volumes.
- Write clean, maintainable code: Adhere to coding best practices, write well-documented code, and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality.
- Integrate with backend APIs: Consume and interact with REST APIs to fetch and display data from our C#/.NET backend.
- Contribute to frontend architecture: Participate in discussions and contribute to the evolution of our frontend architecture to ensure maintainability and scalability.
- Stay up-to-date with web technologies: Continuously learn and explore new technologies and frameworks to improve our frontend development practices.
