The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Observability Engineer to join our growing team in Brazil. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of our client's production systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze production system performance using industry-leading tools such as AppDynamics, New Relic, DataDog, or Dynatrace.
• Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and collaborate with application teams to implement effective solutions.
• Partner with development teams to implement proactive monitoring strategies and improve service reliability and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues utilizing SRE practices and a DevOps mindset.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with performance monitoring tools and techniques.
• Solid understanding of software development principles, architecture, and system integration.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and/or Golang.
• Hands-on experience with SRE practices, DevOps culture, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Qualifications

Required:

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of monitoring and analyzing production system performance.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with performance monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, New Relic, DataDog, or Dynatrace. Solid understanding of software development principles, system architecture, and integration. Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Java or Golang.
• SRE & DevOps: Demonstrated experience with SRE practices, DevOps culture, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred:

• Experience working in a large, multinational organization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with incident management and post-mortem analysis.

Technical Expertise

• Utilize monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, New Relic, DataDog, or Dynatrace to proactively monitor and analyze the performance of production systems.
• Conduct in-depth investigations into production issues, pinpoint root causes, and collaborate effectively with application development teams to resolve them.
• Partner with development teams to implement strategies that enhance service reliability and optimize system performance.
• Apply SRE practices and DevOps principles to troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently.

Collaboration and Communication

• Effectively communicate technical insights and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security, to ensure seamless system performance and stability.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation related to monitoring, observability, and incident management processes.
