The Role

We're looking for a passionate and experienced Learning & Development Design Lead to join our growing Customer Operations team. You'll play a key role in designing and delivering engaging training programs that empower our team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop innovative learning solutions, including e-learning modules, workshops, and on-the-job training.
  • Identify training needs and develop curriculum aligned with Monzo's evolving products and services.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and engaging.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in learning and development.

  • Proven experience in designing and delivering engaging learning experiences.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience: 5+ years of experience designing and delivering engaging learning and development programs, ideally within a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Design expertise: Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies. Experience with various learning formats (e.g., e-learning, workshops, blended learning) is essential.
  • Project management skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.
  • Communication and collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
  • Tech-savvy: Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other relevant learning technologies.
  • Passion for learning: Genuine enthusiasm for creating impactful learning experiences that drive employee growth and development.

Learning & Development Design Lead Responsibilities

  • Design and develop engaging learning programs for Monzo Customer Operations, encompassing onboarding, product knowledge, and soft skills development.
  • Conduct needs analysis to identify training gaps and develop targeted learning solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional design methodologies and technologies to create impactful learning experiences, including e-learning modules, workshops, and simulations.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of training content.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through data analysis and feedback mechanisms, making adjustments as needed.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in learning and development.
  • Manage the learning management system (LMS) and ensure seamless delivery of training materials.
  • Contribute to the development of a culture of continuous learning within Monzo Customer Operations.
