The Role

As a UX Engineer, you will play a crucial role in bringing our software products to life. You will collaborate closely with the design team and cross-functional teams to implement front-end features, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement front-end features for our web applications using modern web technologies.
• Collaborate with back-end developers to ensure smooth data flow and functionality.
• Contribute to back-end development as needed, optimizing existing features for performance.
• Participate in defining and promoting best practices and patterns within the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in front-end development with expertise in Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, Tailwind, and React.
• Strong understanding of design principles and the ability to translate designs into polished interfaces.
• Familiarity with back-end development concepts, including data flow and interaction with data stores.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Required:

• Proven experience: 3+ years of professional experience in front-end web development.
• Technical Proficiency: Mastery of modern web technologies including Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, Tailwind CSS, and React.
• Design Sensitivity: Demonstrated ability to translate designs into polished user interfaces, even with limited design assets.
• Back-end Understanding: Familiarity with back-end development concepts, data flow, and interaction with data stores.
• Collaboration Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills, with experience collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Problem-Solving: Resourceful and adaptable approach to problem-solving, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Preferred:

• Experience with MySQL or similar relational databases.
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails.
• Contributions to open-source projects.

What You'll Do

• Translate designs into functional, user-friendly web applications using Next.js, TypeScript, and React.
• Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
• Maintain and improve existing web applications, addressing bugs and optimizing performance.
• Contribute to the development of new features and functionalities, working closely with the product team.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the establishment of best practices within the engineering team.
