Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Director to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth across all business lines. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing the sales pipeline, and exceeding quarterly and annual revenue targets.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Own the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals.
- Collaborate with the Head of Growth and CEO to implement the go-to-market strategy.
- Develop and implement sales strategies, processes, and forecasting tools.
- Manage and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Represent The Block in key customer negotiations and industry events.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of proven B2B sales experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated success leading sales teams to exceed revenue targets in fast-paced environments.
- Strong understanding of revenue tools, pipeline metrics, and modern sales methodologies.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
Compensation:
- Salary range: $120,000 - $140,000 per year, based on experience, location, and qualifications.
- Commission-based bonus eligibility.
Location:
- Fully remote position. US work authorization required.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of demonstrable experience in B2B sales, with a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets.
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading and managing sales teams in fast-paced or startup environments.
Skills:
- Deep understanding of revenue generation tools, pipeline management metrics, and modern sales methodologies.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills, with experience in handling key customer negotiations.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Other:
- Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Passion for the digital asset space is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue Growth: Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve ambitious revenue targets across all business lines, including subscriptions, advertising, and events.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies, processes, and forecasting tools to optimize lead generation, pipeline management, and deal closure.
- Team Leadership & Development: Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to the sales team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment.
- Go-to-Market Collaboration: Partner closely with the Head of Growth and CEO to execute the overall go-to-market strategy, ensuring alignment across marketing, sales, and product development.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. Represent The Block in negotiations and strategic discussions.

8. Offer & Onboarding: The chosen candidate receives a formal offer and embarks on a comprehensive onboarding program.
