People Business Partner - HR4HR

About the Role

DoorDash is seeking a strategic and globally minded People Business Partner to support our People and IT organizations. This role will serve a client group of ~800 employees across North America, Europe, and APAC. You will be a trusted advisor and thought partner to the VPs of People and IT, driving impactful solutions across performance, organizational design, talent planning, DEI, and leadership development.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with senior executives to translate business goals into effective people strategies and organizational design.
  • Lead the strategic workforce planning process, identifying future capability needs and succession plans.
  • Design and implement talent development programs tailored to a globally distributed and hybrid workforce.
  • Provide counsel on sensitive employee relations, change management, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with People CoEs (Talent, Total Rewards, L&D, DEI) to roll out enterprise-wide initiatives with local relevance.
  • Leverage people data to influence decisions, drive accountability, and create action plans for business leaders.
  • Support M&A integration and change management efforts as the business evolves.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, innovation, and resilience through thoughtful coaching and leadership enablement.

Who You Are

  • 8-10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a business partner role.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and influence strategic decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of global HR best practices and trends.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and interpret HR metrics.
  • Passion for building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 8-10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a business partner role.
  • Proven experience partnering with senior executives to develop and execute people strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Strong understanding of workforce planning, talent development, organizational design, and change management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in using HR data and analytics to drive decision-making and measure impact.
  • Experience supporting M&A integration and change management efforts.
  • Passion for fostering a culture of inclusion, innovation, and resilience.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting global, geographically dispersed teams.
  • Knowledge of various HR technologies and systems.
  • Experience in the technology or delivery industry.
  • Master's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.

Strategic Workforce Planning & Org Design

  • Collaborate with People and IT leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives.
  • Conduct workforce analysis to identify current and future talent needs.
  • Develop and implement succession plans to ensure business continuity.
  • Design and optimize organizational structures to support growth and innovation.

Talent Development & Employee Relations

  • Design and deliver talent development programs for a global, hybrid workforce.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to employees and managers on performance management, career development, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and investigations.
  • Partner with People CoEs to implement enterprise-wide initiatives with local relevance.

Data-Driven Decision Making & Change Management

  • Leverage HR data to identify trends, measure program effectiveness, and inform decision-making.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress towards HR goals.
  • Support M&A integration and change management efforts by providing HR expertise and guidance.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, innovation, and resilience through leadership development and employee engagement initiatives.

Selection Process
