Responsibilities:

• Own the entire trading technology stack, encompassing strategy, development, and maintenance of Ethena's trading platform.
• Lead and mentor a talented team of trading technology engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Design and implement a high-performance trading platform capable of handling large trade sizes with minimal slippage.
• Develop robust market data pipelines and ensure seamless integration with multiple trading venues.
• Drive the development of new products and features, championing software excellence and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience leading and mentoring high-performing engineering teams in trading technology environments.
• Extensive experience in trading systems development, including market data feed handlers, algo engines, and execution platforms.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including modern development practices and resilient system design.
• Deep understanding of financial markets, trading mechanisms, and security protocols.
• Experience with crypto trading venues and derivatives, including centralized exchanges and trading instruments.
• Multi-venue trading experience, including order routing, trade reconciliation, and execution quality optimization.

Qualifications

Required:

• Leadership: 5+ years of experience leading and mentoring high-performing engineering teams in trading technology environments. Proven track record of building and scaling successful teams.
• Technical Expertise: 7+ years of hands-on experience in trading systems development, including market data feed handlers, algo engines, and execution platforms.
• Software Engineering: Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including modern development practices (Agile, CI/CD), version control, and testing methodologies. Experience with designing and implementing resilient, scalable systems.
• Financial Markets: Deep understanding of financial markets, trading mechanisms, and security protocols. Familiarity with crypto trading venues, derivatives, and centralized exchanges.
• Trading Experience: Experience with multi-venue trading, including order routing, trade reconciliation, and execution quality optimization.

Preferred:

• Experience with blockchain technology and DeFi protocols.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with quantitative finance and algorithmic trading strategies.

Technical Leadership

• Architect, develop, and maintain Ethena's trading platform, encompassing all aspects from market data ingestion to order execution.
• Lead and mentor a team of trading technology engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across Trading, Risk, and Operations to ensure seamless platform integration and alignment with business objectives.

Platform Development & Optimization

• Design and implement robust algorithms for efficient trade execution, minimizing slippage and maximizing profitability.
• Develop and manage market data pipelines, ensuring reliable and timely access to critical market information from multiple sources.
• Continuously evaluate and optimize platform performance, scalability, and security to meet evolving market demands.

Product Innovation

• Drive the development of new trading features and products, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to enhance Ethena's competitive advantage.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in the DeFi space, identifying opportunities for innovation and integration.
• Contribute to the overall strategic direction of Ethena's trading technology roadmap.
