About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Crypto Compliance Project Manager to join our growing team. As the main point of contact for the commercial team on all crypto-related matters, you will play a crucial role in ensuring dLocal's compliance with evolving regulations and best practices in the cryptocurrency space.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, Legal, and the commercial team, particularly for onboarding and enhancing crypto merchants.
- Act as a subject matter expert on all crypto-related topics within dLocal, providing guidance and support to internal teams.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address compliance and regulatory shortcomings related to crypto transactions.
- Develop and implement automated solutions to prevent non-compliant transactions and mitigate risk.
- Stay abreast of emerging regulations and industry best practices in the crypto space.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, financial services, or payment processing, with a focus on cryptocurrencies.
- Deep understanding of compliance best practices for crypto and relevant regulatory standards for crypto companies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Fluent English.

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field is required.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, financial services, or payment processing is mandatory.
- Proven experience working with cryptocurrencies and understanding relevant regulatory frameworks is essential.
Skills:
- Demonstrated expertise in compliance best practices for cryptocurrencies and knowledge of applicable regulatory standards for crypto companies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in English is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage all aspects of crypto compliance projects, ensuring timely and successful completion within budget and scope.
- Regulatory Expertise: Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory inquiries related to cryptocurrencies, providing guidance and support to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Compliance Implementation: Develop and implement robust compliance programs and policies specific to crypto transactions, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential compliance risks associated with cryptocurrencies, implementing appropriate controls and monitoring mechanisms.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Product, Engineering, and Operations, to integrate compliance requirements into all aspects of the crypto business.
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve existing compliance processes, leveraging technology and automation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on crypto compliance policies, procedures, and best practices.

6. Offer & Onboarding: The selected candidate will receive a formal job offer outlining compensation and benefits. Upon acceptance, the onboarding process will commence, ensuring a smooth transition into the role.
