About the Role

As a Virtual Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless and positive patient experience. You will be responsible for preparing patients for physician visits, conducting clinical duties, and managing administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for virtual physician visits, ensuring they have the necessary information and technology.
• Conduct clinical duties, including documenting medical history, medication lists, and vital signs.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and manage patient charts.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk mitigation.
• Deliver exceptional patient care and communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
• 1-3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and work independently.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm EST.

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Certifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.

Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting preferred.

Skills:

• Proven ability to perform clinical duties, including taking medical histories, documenting medication lists, and assisting with examinations.
• Strong administrative skills, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling phone inquiries.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and other relevant medical software.
• Adaptable and eager to learn new technologies.

Patient Care

• Prepare patients for virtual consultations with physicians.
• Collect and document patient medical history, including medications and allergies.
• Assist physicians with virtual examinations and procedures as needed.
• Provide patients with clear instructions and follow-up care information.

Administrative Support

• Schedule and manage patient appointments through the virtual platform.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
• Process patient inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth patient flow.

Technology Proficiency

• Utilize electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms effectively.
• Troubleshoot basic technical issues and provide support to patients.
• Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in virtual healthcare.

Finalists are invited for a second interview, often involving a panel of team members, to further assess their suitability for the role. Following the interviews, a decision is made and the selected candidate is extended an offer.
