About the Role:

As a Staff Front End Engineer, you will be a technical leader within our agile software engineering team, driving the development of highly visible user-facing features and applications. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and the engineering leadership team to define architecture and product features.

Responsibilities:

• Lead code and design reviews, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
• Design and implement complex front-end features, prioritizing performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap and architecture of our platform.
• Stay abreast of emerging front-end technologies and trends.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of professional front-end development experience.
• 3+ years of experience with React, including state management, animations, and Webpack.
• Proven experience as a technical lead or architect for an Agile Engineering team.
• Strong understanding of GraphQL server development and GraphQL-focused architecture.
• Experience architecting single-page applications and/or mobile-first web applications.

Qualifications

Medely is seeking a highly experienced Staff Front End Engineer to join our growing team.

Required:

• 7+ years of professional front-end development experience.
• 3+ years of experience with React, including state management (e.g., Redux, Zustand), animations, and Webpack.
• Proven experience as a technical lead and/or architect for an Agile Engineering team.
• Strong understanding of GraphQL server development and GraphQL-focused architecture.
• Experience architecting single-page applications and/or mobile-first web applications.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Bonus:

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress).
• Contributions to open-source projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Act as the front-end technical lead for a cross-functional agile team, providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Design & Development: Design and implement innovative, user-centric front-end features and applications, ensuring high performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Code Quality & Collaboration: Lead code and design reviews, adhering to best practices and contributing to the overall quality of the codebase. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and the engineering leadership team to define and refine product features.
• Architecture & Innovation: Contribute to the evolution of the front-end architecture, exploring and implementing new technologies and patterns to enhance the user experience and system efficiency.
• Testing & Deployment: Ensure testable and reliable front-end code through rigorous testing and deployment processes.
