Sales Development Representative

Heard is dedicated to connecting mental health professionals with resources to grow their practices. We're a mission-driven company seeking a passionate Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing team.

What You'll Do

As an SDR, you'll be the first point of contact for prospective customers, primarily therapists and wellness professionals. Your responsibilities include:

  • Conducting high-volume outreach via phone, text, and email.
  • Qualifying leads, gathering information, and identifying potential fit for Heard's platform.
  • Booking and confirming consultation meetings, ensuring prospects are well-prepared.
  • Maintaining accurate records in HubSpot CRM and ensuring a clean sales pipeline.
  • Proactively following up with prospects within tight timelines.
  • Collaborating with Account Executives and other team members to ensure a seamless lead handover.
  • Consistently achieving or exceeding activity and booking targets.

What Success Looks Like

  • 90+ high-quality touches daily (calls, texts, emails).
  • Consistently high consult booking and show rates.
  • Accurate and detailed lead qualification and data entry.
  • A willingness to experiment with new approaches and embrace feedback.

You'll Excel If You...

  • Have 1+ year of experience as a BDR, SDR, or in a similar outbound/sales role (healthtech or SaaS preferred, but not required).
  • Thrive in a high-energy environment with targets and a focus on making a real difference.
  • Are proactive, organized, resourceful, and a reliable team player.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Learn new systems quickly (HubSpot, SalesMsg, and other modern tools).

Compensation

  • Base: $30,000
  • OTE: $60,000
  • Commission: 50/50

Qualifications

Required:

  • 1+ year of experience in a BDR, SDR, or similar outbound/sales role. Experience in healthtech or SaaS is preferred but not required.
  • Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed activity and booking targets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems (HubSpot experience is a plus).
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high volume of leads.
  • A proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving.
  • A passion for making a positive impact in the mental health field.

Preferred:

  • Experience with sales engagement tools (SalesMsg or similar).
  • Familiarity with the mental health industry and its challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new systems quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect Outreach: Conduct high-volume outreach via phone, email, and text to qualified leads within the mental health and wellness space.
  • Lead Qualification: Assess lead fit for Heard's platform, gather relevant information, and determine their potential for conversion.
  • Appointment Setting: Schedule and confirm consultation meetings with prospects, ensuring they are prepared for a valuable discussion.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within HubSpot CRM, ensuring a clean and organized sales pipeline.
  • Pipeline Management: Proactively follow up with prospects within strict timeframes (first outreach within 1-2 hours of lead receipt) to maximize engagement.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner closely with Account Executives and other team members to seamlessly hand off qualified leads and contribute to overall team success.
  • Performance Driven: Consistently achieve or exceed activity and booking targets, contributing to the achievement of monthly and quarterly goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute insights and ideas to the team, demonstrating a commitment to process optimization and growth.

4. Interview with Sales Manager: Top performers are invited for a virtual interview with the Sales Manager to discuss their experience, sales strategies, and alignment with Heard's mission.

5. Team Interview: Finalists participate in a group interview with the SDR team to assess their collaborative skills, personality fit, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

6. Offer & Onboarding: Successful candidates receive a formal offer and embark on a comprehensive onboarding program designed to integrate them into the Heard team and equip them for success.
