About the Role
We're looking for a passionate Information Security Analyst to join our growing team on a 14-month fixed-term contract. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the security of our systems and data, protecting our customers and their financial information.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability analysis.
- Implement and maintain security controls and policies.
- Investigate security incidents and breaches.
- Provide security awareness training to employees.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.

- Proven experience as an Information Security Analyst.
- Strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
- Experience with security tools and technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Location: London/Cardiff/UK Remote
Salary: £50,000 + share options + benefits
Qualifications
- Proven experience: 2+ years of experience in an Information Security Analyst role or a similar security-focused position.
- Technical proficiency: Solid understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), vulnerability scanning, and security information and event management (SIEM).
- Analytical skills: Ability to analyze security logs, identify potential threats, and conduct thorough investigations.
- Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
- Certifications: Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Security+ are highly desirable.
- Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Information Security Analyst Responsibilities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses within Monzo's systems and applications.
- Analyze security logs and incident reports to detect and investigate potential security breaches.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to other teams on security best practices and incident response.
- Stay abreast of emerging security threats and vulnerabilities, and recommend appropriate countermeasures.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of security controls.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of security awareness training programs for Monzo employees.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Selection Process
Candidates interested in the Information Security Analyst role at Monzo will first submit their applications online.
