Responsibilities

As a Senior Database Developer, you will design and maintain scalable data-driven solutions for our high-volume loyalty platforms. Your key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining import and extract processes for internal and client-facing systems.
• Troubleshooting and resolving data quality and performance issues.
• Tuning queries, indexes, and procedures for optimal performance.
• Supporting data integration from multiple sources.
• Providing technical support to report developers, data testers, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience designing and maintaining SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions.
• Strong experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL or a comparable relational database.
• Proven ability to tune SQL for performance, particularly in large-scale, high-volume environments.
• Familiarity with ETL development, data migration strategies, and real-time/batch data movement.
• Solid understanding of data security, particularly in PCI-compliant or regulated environments.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5-7+ years of proven experience designing and maintaining SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions in a relational database environment (Oracle and/or PostgreSQL preferred).
• Demonstrated expertise in tuning SQL for optimal performance in high-volume, scalable systems.
• Solid understanding of ETL development principles, data migration strategies, and real-time/batch data movement.
• Comprehensive knowledge of data security best practices, particularly within PCI-compliant or regulated environments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred:

• Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).
• Familiarity with data modeling techniques and schema design.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and data manipulation.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.

Database Development

• Design and implement robust database solutions to support Kobie's high-volume loyalty platforms.
• Develop and maintain efficient import and export processes for seamless data integration between internal and client-facing systems.
• Identify and resolve data quality and performance issues, ensuring data integrity and system efficiency.
• Optimize SQL queries, indexes, and procedures to maximize database performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with data testers and report developers to ensure data accuracy and accessibility for reporting purposes.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of data integration strategies across multiple sources.
