The Role

As Staff Product Manager, Cash & Payments, you'll report directly to our CEO and shape the vision for Shakepay as Canadians' everyday money app. You'll be responsible for building intuitive, reliable, and delightful cash & payment experiences, including:

• Fast Interac transfers and direct deposits
• Seamless bill payments
• Peer-to-peer money sharing
• The Shakepay Card with bitcoin rewards

This role is highly customer-focused and hands-on. You'll deeply understand how Canadians want to move and spend money, translating those insights into features that people love and trust. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, and other teams to bring your vision to life.

Qualifications:

• Proven track record: 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, with a focus on cash & payments products.
• Strategic thinker: Demonstrated ability to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for complex financial products.
• Customer-centric: Deep understanding of user needs and behaviors, with a passion for building delightful customer experiences.
• Data-driven: Experience using data and analytics to inform product decisions and measure success.
• Execution-focused: Proven ability to launch and iterate on products quickly and efficiently.
• Collaborative leader: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Financial literacy: Understanding of financial products and services, including payment systems, banking, and cryptocurrency.
• Bonus points: Experience with mobile app development and agile methodologies.

Product Development & Strategy

• Define and own the product roadmap for Shakepay's cash & payments features, including Interac transfers, direct deposits, bill payments, peer-to-peer money sharing, and the Shakepay Card.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and inform product strategy.
• Translate user needs and market trends into actionable product requirements and user stories.

User Experience & Design

• Collaborate closely with design and engineering teams to ensure a seamless and delightful user experience for all cash & payments features.
• Conduct user testing and gather feedback to iterate on product design and improve user satisfaction.
• Champion user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.

Execution & Measurement

• Prioritize and manage the development backlog, ensuring timely delivery of features and alignment with product roadmap.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of cash & payments features and identify areas for improvement.
• Communicate product updates and performance metrics to stakeholders, including the CEO and executive team.

The selection process begins with a review of applications, followed by phone screenings to assess initial fit. Shortlisted candidates will participate in a series of interviews, including technical assessments and presentations, to evaluate their product management skills, strategic thinking, and cultural alignment with Shakepay.

Finalists will meet with the CEO and key stakeholders to discuss their vision for the role and how they can contribute to Shakepay's continued success.
