About the Role

As a People Operations Intern at Lilly, you will gain valuable experience supporting a wide range of HR functions. You will contribute to impactful projects, assist in managing core HR processes, and help create positive onboarding experiences for new employees. Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and contribute to innovative solutions for HR initiatives.
  • Assist in managing employee engagement, retention programs, and cultural initiatives.
  • Handle tasks related to exits, leaves, reimbursements, and referral queries.
  • Support the design and delivery of seamless onboarding experiences for new hires.
  • Analyze project outcomes and suggest improvements to enhance organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Available for a full-time, on-site internship from July 12th, 2025 to August 16th, 2025.
  • Committed to a 3-month internship duration.
  • Postgraduate student (Batch of 2024 or 2025) from a relevant field.
  • Strong communication skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic and ambiguous environments.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides).

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Postgraduate students (Batch of 2024 or 2025) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in an HR-related role or internship is preferred but not required.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Demonstrated interest in Human Resources and a willingness to learn.

Availability:

  • Full-time availability for a 3-month internship, commencing between July 12th, 2025, and August 16th, 2025.
  • On-site internship required.

Key Responsibilities

As an Intern – People Operations at Lilly, you will:

  • Support HR Projects: Contribute to research and analysis for key HR initiatives, proposing innovative solutions and assisting in implementation.
  • Manage HR Operations: Assist with daily HR processes including employee engagement programs, retention initiatives, and cultural activities. Handle tasks related to employee exits, leaves, reimbursements, and referral inquiries.
  • Enhance Onboarding Experience: Collaborate on designing and delivering engaging onboarding programs for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and alignment with company values.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Gather and analyze HR data to support decision-making and reporting.

Phase 1: Application Review (1 week)

  • AI-powered screening of applications based on qualifications and keywords.
  • Human review of shortlisted applications focusing on relevant experience and skills.

Phase 2: Online Assessment (1 week)

  • Shortlisted candidates complete an online assessment testing their problem-solving, communication, and Google Suite proficiency.

Phase 3: Interview Rounds (2 weeks)

  • Phone Interview: Initial screening with a People Operations team member to assess communication skills and cultural fit.
  • Virtual Interview: In-depth interview with a hiring manager to discuss experience, skills, and career aspirations.
  • Case Study: Candidates analyze a real-world HR scenario and present their solutions.

Phase 4: Decision & Offer (1 week)

  • Final candidate selection based on performance throughout the process.
  • Offer extended to the chosen candidate with details regarding internship start date, duration, and compensation.
