Data Analyst Intern

API Holdings is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Data Analyst Intern to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting data-driven decision making across various business functions.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business teams to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
• Retrieve, clean, and analyze data from diverse sources, ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to effectively communicate data-driven findings.
• Automate repetitive data-related tasks to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Identify and report data quality issues to the Data Engineering team for resolution.
• Contribute to the implementation of data-driven recommendations within business teams.

Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in SQL and/or Hive Query Language.
• Experience with data manipulation and analysis in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Basic automation skills in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for data analysis and problem-solving.

Qualifications

Education:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency: SQL and/or Hive Query Language.
• Experience: Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel (data cleaning, pivot tables, data exploration).
• Familiarity: At least one data visualization platform (Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, Metabase).
• Advantage: Basic automation skills in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of data handling in R or Python.

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for interpreting business needs and presenting insights.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Data Analysis Support

• Collaborate with business teams to understand data-driven needs and objectives.
• Extract and analyze data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Develop reports and dashboards to visualize data trends and insights.
• Automate routine data processes to improve efficiency.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to streamline data workflows and enhance data quality.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance policies.
• Assist in the documentation of data processes and procedures.
• Proactively identify and resolve data discrepancies or inconsistencies.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with the Product, Business, and Data Engineering teams.
• Share knowledge and best practices within the data analysis team.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to project discussions.
• Assist in the onboarding and training of new team members.
