About the Role:
Qualcomm is seeking a highly motivated and talented Engineering Intern to join our Systems team for the 2025 internship program. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the development and verification of cutting-edge System-on-Chip (SoC) technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the verification of SoCs with embedded RISC/DSP processors and communications/networking ASICs.
- Contribute to RTL design or object-oriented programming tasks using Verilog, VHDL, C/C++, and scripting languages.
- Collaborate with engineers on projects related to wireless/wired communications, graphics/video multimedia, RF/Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design, and more.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
- Masters or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, VLSI, Embedded Systems, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Verilog or VHDL, C/C++, and scripting languages (Tcl/Perl/shell).
- Familiarity with wireless/wired communications and protocols, or graphics/video multimedia.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
Educational Background:
- Masters or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, VLSI, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with SoC verification methodologies and experience with embedded RISC/DSP processors, and communications/networking ASICs.
- Proficiency in Verilog or VHDL, C/C++, and scripting languages (Tcl/Perl/shell).
- Understanding of wireless/wired communications and protocols, or graphics/video multimedia.
- Basic knowledge of RF/Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design concepts is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
As an Interim Engineering Intern, you will contribute to the development and verification of Qualcomm's cutting-edge System-on-Chip (SoC) technologies.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting senior engineers in verifying SoC functionality, focusing on embedded RISC/DSP processors and communications/networking ASICs.
- Utilizing Verilog or VHDL, C/C++, and scripting languages (Tcl/Perl/shell) to develop and execute verification testbenches.
- Contributing to the design and implementation of RTL modules, leveraging your strong object-oriented programming skills.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of various SoC components.
- Analyzing and resolving technical challenges encountered during the verification process.
- Documenting test plans, results, and findings effectively.
