Qualifications

To qualify for the role of Associate Software Engineer at Ernst & Young, you must have:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of professional experience in software development.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++), understanding of data structures and algorithms, experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), and familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile).

Ideally, you will also have:

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software applications using established coding standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, designers, and project managers, to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in accordance with project specifications.
  • Participate in code reviews and testing to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
  • Document technical specifications and user manuals.
  • Provide technical support to users and stakeholders.

Selection Process
