Job Description
Associate Software Engineer – Ag & Trading Internship
Cargill is seeking highly motivated and talented students to join our Associate Software Engineer Internship program in Bengaluru. This 5-6 month internship, scheduled from early January 2026 to the end of June 2026, offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Eligibility:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Engineering or Technology, specializing in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Computing, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date by June 2026.
- University/institute approval letter required.
- Open to on-site work several days a week at the Bengaluru Capability Center.
Qualifications:
- Foundational understanding of structured programming, system design and analysis, database concepts, and general business principles.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior internship experience in software engineering.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies.
- Exposure to commercial software product development.
- Strong technical and analytical abilities.
- Effective problem-solving and prioritization skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong research and information-gathering skills.
Qualifications
Education:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Engineering or Technology, specializing in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Computing, or a related IT field.
- Expected graduation date by June 2026.
- University/institute approval letter required for participation in the internship.
Experience:
- Prior internship experience in software engineering is preferred.
Skills:
- Foundational understanding of structured programming, system design and analysis, database concepts, and general business principles.
- Strong technical and analytical abilities.
- Ability to apply technical knowledge to real-world responsibilities.
- Effective problem-solving and prioritization skills.

Other:
- Open to working on-site several days a week at the Bengaluru Capability Center.
- Availability for a 5-6 month internship from early January 2026 to the end of June 2026.
Software Development
- Contribute to the design, development, and testing of software applications within the Ag & Trading domain.
- Participate in agile development sprints, adhering to established processes and timelines.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code in accordance with coding standards.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and product owners to understand requirements and translate them into functional software solutions.
- Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure the quality and stability of developed code.
Problem Solving & Learning
- Identify and analyze technical challenges, proposing innovative solutions.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance application functionality and efficiency.
- Actively seek opportunities to learn and expand technical expertise within the Ag & Trading domain.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing within the team through documentation and presentations.
Selection Process
Cargill is seeking a highly motivated Associate Software Engineer – Ag & Trading intern to join their Bengaluru Capability Center.
