About the Role:

Skypoint is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic AI Data Curation and RLHF Intern to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in gathering, organizing, and validating data for our AI models, ensuring accuracy and consistency. You will work with diverse data sources, structure them into usable formats, and contribute to refining data management processes.

Responsibilities:

• Collect data from various sources including websites, reports, databases, and other relevant platforms.
• Structure and format data into usable formats (Excel, CSV, SQL) for analysis and model training.
• Validate data accuracy through cross-referencing and ensuring consistency.
• Enter data into internal systems, spreadsheets, or databases with meticulous attention to detail.
• Assist in developing and improving data management processes for enhanced efficiency.
• Perform basic SQL queries and data profiling to identify trends and inconsistencies.
• Contribute to the preparation of reports and summaries using Excel and SQL-based tools.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and operational teams to understand data needs.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proficiency in SQL with the ability to write basic to intermediate queries.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data formatting.
• Keen attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Interest in data analytics, engineering, or operations is a plus.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Currently pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data formatting.
  • Basic to intermediate SQL query writing skills are preferred.
  • Familiarity with data workflows or platforms (ETL tools, MySQL, PostgreSQL, cloud databases) is advantageous.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear collaboration with team members.
  • A genuine interest in data analytics, engineering, or operations is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Collection & Structuring: Gather information from diverse sources (websites, reports, databases) and organize it into usable formats (Excel, CSV, SQL) for analysis.
• Data Validation & Accuracy: Ensure data integrity by cross-referencing information with reliable sources and implementing quality control measures.
• Data Entry & Management: Accurately input data into internal systems, spreadsheets, and databases, maintaining updated records.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Assist in preparing reports and summaries using Excel and SQL-based tools, identifying trends and inconsistencies.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to refining data management processes for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and operational teams to understand data needs and provide timely support.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on data management best practices and explore new tools and techniques.

Application Review:

• Applications will be screened based on educational background, relevant skills, and experience.

Technical Assessment:

• Shortlisted candidates will undergo a technical assessment evaluating SQL proficiency, data manipulation skills (Excel), and problem-solving abilities.

Interview Rounds:

• Initial Interview: A behavioral interview to assess communication skills, teamwork, and cultural fit.
• Technical Interview: A deeper dive into technical skills, data handling experience, and understanding of data workflows.

Final Decision:

• Based on performance in the technical assessment and interviews, the final selection will be made.

Onboarding:

• Selected candidates will undergo a comprehensive onboarding process, including introductions to the team, company policies, and project orientation.
